2021 Trend Piercing # 1: High Nostril Piercing
The septum piercing has long been one of the absolute favourite accessories for the nose. But that is over now. The septum continues to be a trend, but a different nose piercing is now getting full attention.
2021 Trend Piercing is called: High Nostril Piercing! The High Nostril sits a little higher than the classic nose piercing on the nostril and is usually worn with a piercing ring in gold or silver.
2021 Trend Piercing # 2: Forward Helix Piercing
The helix piercing on the upper, outer edge of the auricle is one of the absolute classics among ear piercings. In 2021 we can look forward to a new and highly stylish variant of the Helix: the so-called Forward Helix Piercing.
The Forward Helix, or Anti Helix, is pierced through the cartilage fold that goes further towards the face. A small plug is usually used as jewellery, e.g. B. with rhinestones or in the form of a star. Also, the piercing is often used as a three-way combination (seen in the photo). The whole thing is then called Triple Forward Helix. However, this variant cannot be pricked for everyone due to the different ear shapes.
2021 Trend Piercing # 3: Hanging Piercings
Fashion professionals were crazy about the pretty hanging piercings for the ear as early as 2020 – and still haven’t had enough of the eye-catching body jewellery.
Hanging piercings are not so much a specific piercing point that is being pierced but rather a jewellery type. Hanging piercings are stud earrings that are connected by turning details, usually chains. But be careful: the chains can quickly get caught in hair or clothing such as hats and scarves. So be careful, especially with freshly pierced piercings.
2021 Trend Piercing # 4: Flat Helix Piercing
Another ear piercing that is hugely in demand this year – and, like the forward helix piercing, is one of the rare piercings – is the so-called flat piercing or flat helix piercing.
In contrast to other piercings, this trending accessory is not pierced through the ear’s edge but the flat part of the upper half of the ear. Where precisely the piercing should be in this area can be decided individually. Fashion professionals currently like to wear their flat piercing close to the ear’s upper crease and style it with a curved piece of jewellery that adapts perfectly to the ear’s shape.
The curated ear will remain a trend in 2021
Probably the most significant piercing trend in 2020 was by far the so-called “curated ear”. And this year, too, ear piercings are so popular that one or two ear piercings alone are no longer enough.
True to the motto “more is more”, the curated ear trend adorns the entire ear with small jewellery pieces, studs and hoop earrings. Whether helix, tragus – or Daith -Piercing: Here, you can talk to yourself according to your mood and your ear off steam individually decorate to your liking.
